Michelle Williams is reportedly 'horrified' about plans for a movie to be made about the final days of her late ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger, the father of their six-year-old daughter Matilda.
Williams, who received a Golden Globe nomination last week for her Marilyn Monroe impersonation in My Week with Marilyn, finds the idea of the proposed film 'distasteful', according to Bang! Showbiz.
"Michelle was horrified to hear talk of plans for such a grim film. She hates the thought of re-opening old wounds and finds it distasteful that people are trying to make money off his legacy," a source said.
"She never thought the film would get the green light but it looks like her worst fears could come true."
But it's their daughter for whom Williams is most concerned. The source added: "it's all about Matilda. She doesn't want their daughter to be constantly reminded of the circumstances surrounding his death for the rest of her life."
Ledger died from an accidental overdose on prescription drugs in 2008, aged 28. He and Williams split a year earlier, after three years together, and the birth of their daughter in 2005.
But let's not hold our breaths just yet there's scant information about the film.
