Another day, another tumultuous twist in Mel B's saga with husband Stephen Belafonte.
According to court documents obtained by The Daily Star, Mel's 15-year-old daughter Phoenix was "scared of her stepfather Stephen" after allegedly wielding a gun in front of her.
Mel's mother Andrea Brown made the claim in 2009, during her daughter's custody battle with ex Jimmy Gulzar.
"Phoenix told me Stephen had a gun and he scared her with it," Andrea stated in the court documents.
The couple have since reportedly split, amid claims Stephen beat his wife last week, forcing her to miss an X Factor appearance in the UK.
According to reports, she later appeared on the show sporting bruises and not wearing her wedding rings. Since then, Stephen has denied all accusations.
Mel's mum Andrea on the other hand, has since taken to Twitter to expose her son-in-law's "abusive" behavior.
"Will never suffer a vile abusive 3am call from Stephen Belafonte again!" she posted. "On average it takes 30 beatings for a woman to leave an abusive man."
Mel has been estranged from her mum and sister since 2008, with their disapproval of her husband reportedly behind the family rift.
