Four English villages were Ashton Kutcher-fied for two days, all in the name of publicity…
Yep, the producers of Two and a Half Men actually hijacked people's towns to celebrate the new season of the show… and give their star (*cough*) performer, Mr Kutcher, a bit of a bump-up.
Town signs, speed limit signs, shops and pubs in Ashton Hayes, Ashton under Hill, Ashton in Northamptonshire and Ashton Keyes all underwent sneaky transformations, with residents led to believe that it was all the work of 'Ashton Addiction' – a self-help group of fans obsessed with the actor .
One shopkeeper in Ashton Keyes was rather excited about the renaming of her village, saying: "I think it’s fantastic, and if he could even be here in person, especially as we'll be having the village shop official opening soon… we'd have really hit the jackpot.
"We're a bit light on celebrities in this village so actually, if we could have Ashton Kutcher as our own, that would be fantastic."
Check out the sneaky sleuths work their magic on Ashton towns all over England in the clip above. Hilarious!
