This is not a surprise: Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O have been named the worst male and female TV personalities of 2011 in a poll conducted by the small-screen blog TV Tonight.
Kyle was the "runaway winner" of the worst male category, with Karl Stefanovic (who not so long ago won the Gold Logie, supposedly awarded to the most popular TV personality) a distant second.
Close on Jackie O's heels was Deni Hines, whose antics on Celebrity Apprentice clearly endeared her to TV viewers. (Which has got to sting Jackie — she isn't even that bad, aside from her association with Kyle.)
Kyle was also voted most overexposed performer, and his and Jackie's disastrous TV special Night with the Stars was runner-up in the worst Australian TV show category (after Ben Elton's Live from Planet Earth), and his attack on a TV reviewer was deemed the second worst blunder of the year (after Ten's decision to squeeze The Renovators into the MasterChef finale).
So basically everyone hates Kyle and Jackie O... yet they have one of the most successful radio programs in the country. Australia is weird!
