Rico Rodriguez claims he's nothing like the smart-mouthed Manny Delago he plays on Modern Family, yet the teen star clearly has a lot to say.

The 14-year-old is penning a book of memoirs called Reel Life Lessons … So Far ("reel", as in "show reel", get it? Hilarious).

We're guessing it'll be teens who line up to buy this yarn but that doesn't make it any less baffling as to how a 14-year-old can possibly have enough life experiences to fill a book.

According to website Disney Dreaming, Rico "will most likely be chatting about his film and television career and what it was like breaking into the entertainment industry”.

Hopefully this kid’s autobiography will be as hilarious as some of the one-liners he pulls as Manny on the hit US TV series.

Rico's decision to write a book isn't the only sign he could be a case of Hollywood teen growing up too fast. He reportedly owns a 1949 Chevy Fastback Deluxe, despite the fact he's probably not tall enough to see over the wheel.
