Hugh Sheridan will make his return as Ben Rafter to the Seven Network's Packed to the Rafters after leaving the show to host the Ten Network's ill-fated star search contest I Will Survive.

When asked by a fan on Twitter if the rumour that all of the cast members had left the show for good, Hugh made it clear that he was returning.

"It's true we're all back this week filming," he tweeted.

Seven has confirmed this by stating in promos that "all of the Rafters will be back".

The 26-year-old Logie winner left the show in 2012 to host the Priscilla: Queen of the Desert-inspired talent show I Will Survive.

However, yesterday the actor posted a picture of him and co-star Rebecca Gibney on Twitter alongside the tagline, "Look where I am.”

"Remember your favourite family when voting for the Logies! New season is v[ery] good!" he continued.

Hugh is currently starring in a Melbourne musical production of Steven Sondheim's A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, alongside Geoffrey Rush and Magda Szubanski.

Packed to the Rafters is filming up until December 21, with the new season to air in 2013.
