Tensions flared once again between Nicki Minaj and her co-judges while auditioning soul/country singer Summer Cunningham.
Debating whether or not Summer should be singing country music, judges Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Keith Urban launched into a pro-country diatribe as Nicki sat to the side looking bored.
When asked her opinion, the 'Super Bass' star explained that placing emphasis on a singer's chosen genre shouldn't be an issue at this stage in the competition and can negatively affect the show's contestants.
"Why are we picking her apart because of a country comment? You guys make comments about everybody in popular music all day non-stop," she said, singling out Randy and Mariah.
"My view is that we're kind of making them change their minds. Watch the tape back and you'll understand."
Clearly not appreciating her opinion, Mariah instantly went into defence mode, talking over Nicki without making much sense at all.
It's no secret that the two divas don't get along, but this was all too evident when Nicki swore on camera, got out of her chair and walked out of the studio.
"Oh you're right, I'm sorry. I can't help her. Maybe I should just get off the f---ing panel," she exploded.
To which a haughty Mariah quipped, "That was my move, I was going to do that the next time she ragged on me".
