As the host of The Bachelor Australia, Osher Günsberg (formerly Andrew G) is surrounded by beautiful women 24/7 for months on end. Unfortunately for him, they're all chasing season two Bachelor Blake Garvey... so Osher turns to the man himself for dating tips!

"[Blake] offers great words of advice. I'll be like 'Dude, I'm taking this girl to coffee, what do I do?'," Osher tells TheFIX. "He says usually, 'Don't overthink it, just go have a cup of coffee and relax, you'll be fine'."

Easier said than done! Has this strategy worked for Osher's romantic liaisons? "I wouldn't put a plural on liaisons!" Osher laughs. "I'm busy working, man."

The 40-year-old radio and TV presenter, who was previously married to Israeli actress Noa Tishby from 2008 to 2011, may be having a dating dry spell right now but he still buys into The Bachelor fairy tale. Especially since last year's match, chiropractor Tim Robards and lawyer Anna Heinrich, are still together nearly a year on.

"I go for a run with Tim every now and then. I'm really happy that they've found each other," Osher says. "And that's really lovely to go to your work every day to help two people fall in love."

With the new season starting on Wednesday, the stakes are higher than ever... literally. Bachelor Blake, 31, is 6ft 5in.

"He walks with the familiarity of his own body like an athlete," Osher reveals. "He's very confident in himself physically but he also has this kindness that radiates out of him. Mate, it had me!"

Osher promises twists and turns aplenty, including the world-first introduction of the white rose. How very mysterious…

"No-one's ever done it before and it causes quite the stir," Osher teases, but stops short of revealing the specifics. Such intrigue!

"These women are smart, engaging, fun and they have great careers... and also happen to be super-hot," he adds. "I'm glad I'm not Blake!"

The Bachelor Australia premieres at 7.30pm on Wednesday, July 30 and continues at 7.30pm on Thursday, July 31.
