The 31-year-old father of three is the latest online phenomenon to go viral, after a YouTube video of the fish market man singing and gesturing to lure people to his stall went online back in April (view below).
More than four million YouTube streams and numerous X Factor UK appearances later, Muhammad has a record deal with Warner Music and is eyeing the coveted Christmas No.1 in the UK.
Like Psy's "hey sexy lady" in 'Gangnam', the One Pound Fish Man's catchy hook is also directed at the female sex: "Come on ladies, come on ladies, one pound fish!"
And it's only just taking off. Muhammad, who has already appeared on The X Factor UK, is going gangbusters like 'Gangnam'.
"I always wanted to be a pop singer," he told the Guardian in an interview.
"I was shouting one day and started singing the next. God put the words in my mind".
