The Voice winner Karise Eden has put gay rumours to rest by revealing she is dating a musician.
The 20-year-old singer opened up to Who magazine, saying, "I have met someone — he's very special. He's a lovely, lovely man."
Karise remained tight-lipped when it came to the lucky guy's name but revealed he is a former crush.
"[We] met four or five times over two or three years ago, but it never happened — it was always the wrong time," she said.
"This time it was perfect timing," she added.
Karise, who won the popular reality series after being mentored by singer Seal, certainly deserves some love after enduring a rough couple of years leading up to the show.
This time last year she was living in a women's refuge but is currently on a five-week trip to London to write songs for her upcoming second album.
Karise told Who she and her beau have been chatting on Skype while they're apart.
She also opened up to the mag about what attracts her to a guy.
"I look for someone I can laugh with; I like that sarcastic cheesiness. And I do like a bit sensitive and caring."
"This new guy is awesome and just beautiful," she added.
Karise reckons she has been "living the dream" since winning The Voice.
"Everything is sorted; I'm financially secure, mentally secure, loving people around me — the list goes on," she said.
"When it comes to where my life was and where it is now, what more could you ask for?"
After enjoying three number one singles, Karise's album My Journey is currently sitting at number 10 on the ARIA albums chart.
She is set to kick off her Heavenly Sounds tour in October.
