Kim Kardashian is reportedly going to educate herself on the Middle East after recently experiencing a backlash to her tweets regarding the troubles in Israel and Palestine.

An insider has told TMZ that the Armenian-American is going to use her "whirlwind tour" of Millions of Milkshakes shop locations in Kuwait and Bahrain next week to learn more about the crisis in the Middle East.

"Kim wants to be as informed as possible,” the source said. “So she can use her celebrity to help those in need and raise awareness about important issues in the area.”

The reality TV star recently apologised for the tweets posted last Friday in which she said she was "praying for everyone" in Israel and Palestine, claiming that she had good intentions.

"I should have pointed out my intentions behind these tweets when I posted them," Kim said. "The fact is that regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who didn't choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution."

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star deleted the tweets in question after experiencing a backlash from her followers.

"I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realised that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologise," she wrote.
