Leonardo DiCaprio is the latest celebrity to take a paycheck for spruiking booze to foreign countries. The 38-year-old actor has appeared in a new ad for Jim Beam bourbon to be screened only in Asian markets.
In the short ad, Leo seems to be channelling his super-suave, mega-rich Great Gatsby persona we'll see in cinemas in May. For now, check out Mr Cool in action above with the requisite "smug-look-to-camera-and-say-something-short-and-snappy" moment (very Bill Murray Lost in Translation).
Leo recently said he'll be taking a "long, long break" from acting, recently wrapping up work on Martin Scorsese's The Wolf of Wall Street. He is rumoured to have struck up a romance with co-star, and former Neighbours actress, Margot Robbie.
The Django Unchained star has also announced today that he is launching a campaign with the World Wildlife Fund called "Hands Off My Parts", raising awareness to end the illegal trade of wildlife, including rhinos, tigers and elephants (more info here). Go, Leo!
Leo isn't the only A-list celeb encouraging us to get drunk lately. Check out George Clooeny's raunchy ad for his new tequila brand, Casamigos, which involves George bed-hopping with girlfriend Stacy Keibler and former supermodel Cindy Crawford and her hubby Rande Gerber:
Daniel Craig tried to make us believe that James Bond now drinks Heineken beer all of a sudden:
But it's not just alcohol celebs try to peddle us. Miranda Kerr's weird ice tea ad is one example in our slideshow of star-studded Japanese ads:
