Famous Scientologist and sometime couch-jumper Tom Cruise has admitted that he believes in aliens and would like to travel to space to meet one.
At the Moscow premiere of his latest sci-fi film Oblivion, the eccentric actor spoke about his childhood dream of going into space, and his belief that humans aren’t the only life form in the galaxy, reports The Sun.
“I don’t think you can actually count it out,” Tom said when asked about the possibility of alien life.
“It might be a little arrogant to think we were the only ones in all the galaxies throughout the universe, but I’ve never met one!”.
Following the teachings of Xenu, the tyrant ruler of the Galactic Confederacy, Scientologists believe that the human race was transported to earth in shuttles 75 million years ago.
Apparently Tom would totally jump aboard a spacecraft to see what is out there.
“Who wouldn’t want to do something like that?” he questioned.
“I’m going to let a couple of other people test it out first but it would be great. I was always hoping when I was a kid that we would be traveling to different planets by now.”
Tom clearly isn't shy about his penchant for science fiction. He has not one, but two sci-fi films coming out in the next year: Oblivion out April 19, and All You Need is Kill, out March 6, 2014.
