Are Apple and Moses Paltrow suffering because of mum Gwyneth Paltrow's food choices? That's the stance some critics are taking, according to an interview on US health show, Dr Oz. Gwyn was there to defend herself — watch how she did it above.

Chatting with Dr Mehmet Oz, the actress-turned-cookbook author delved into why she's so passionate about her family following a strict macrobiotic diet.

"What it is, is that my son [Moses] has very bad eczema and he's allergic to gluten and he's allergic to cow dairy," she explained. "I try at home to make everything gluten-free for him because the difference in his comfort is unbelievable when he's sticking to what he's meant to be eating."

Gwyneth then hit back at reports that she is restricting her children's diets.

"I don't know where they get some of this stuff!" Paltrow continues. "They say I don't give my kids carbs, and I'm feeding them seaweed ... I have no idea. But they eat Oreos, too, and they're normal kids."

But, what's "normal" anyway, Gwyn? With two superstar parents and a life in the spotlight, it seems like they're doing their best to give Apple and Moses a healthy upbringing. Get up to speed on Gwyneth's cookbook release in the video below.
