As Twitter accounts go, it was a fleeting one and Keira Knightley has now revealed why she deactivated her account after just 12-hours.
The Hollywood actress compared the social media site to being back in the schoolyard…and not being in the popular gang.
Hmm, is that code for “I didn’t know how to tweet?”
Speaking to February’s issue of Harper's Bazaar, she said: “It made me feel a little bit like being in a school playground and not being popular and standing on the sidelines kind of going, ‘Argh’.”
Twitter is still dividing A-Listers, with George Clooney only recently slamming celebs who open-up about their private life by tweeting about their (often mundane) day-to-day life.
It seems Keira, 28, is on George’s anti-Twitter team.
The British starlet also revealed it’s a constant battle to get decent roles in tinseltown, blaming the gender divide.
She added: “Hollywood has a really long way to go. I don’t think that anybody can deny that, really, and I think as much as you are getting more women playing lead roles… they’re still pretty few and far between.”
Right, more roles, less Twitter….we got it, Keira.
